About
I am a British / Canadian, New Media Designer based in Denmark with over 10 years experience working with web design and video. I studied Business Communications in North Vancouver Canada, and Web Design in London UK.
I am currently teaching Multimedia design at The University College Nordjylland in Aalborg Denmark.
School
I have always had an interest in drawing and building and got my best grades in Visual Arts and Graphic Design in School. Some of my illustrations were displayed in art galleries, on clothing, posters, birthday cards and even the odd bathroom wall.
In my teens I was one of the editorial cartoonists for the local newspaper in BC, Canada.
In 92′ I studied Business Communications at Capilano College in North Vancouver BC, Canada, but dropped out after the second semester due to an obvious lack of interest in Economics, Business Management and Accounting!
Travel
From 96′ – 97′ I travelled in Australia and New Zealand while working in the Hospitality Industry.
In 97′ I backpacked across Canada and Northern Europe, stopping in Copenhagen. In 99′ I backpacked through to Southern Europe an then India.
1999 was a very eventful year for me. I also worked in Manhattan New York, with a Danish nightclub and restaurant project.
After the project I boarded a Grey Hound and found America. It was never really lost..
Work
In 00′ I studied Web Design in London England and eventually made my first short documentary film for World Voices student organisation.
During this time, my wife and I bore our first son and decided to move back to Denmark.
From 02′ I worked as a freelance web designer under the company name edibletv Productions, whilst studying Danish and playing with digital video.
In 03′ we travelled to Tororo Uganda where I worked with The Mifumi Project and CBM International producing videos for TV and web.
From 04′ until today I have been living happily in Denmark. First Copenhagen and now Northern Jutland. I teach Multimedia Design at UCN and am renovating and old house.
